Cargo delivery: what is it and how is it different from other types of delivery

Cargo is a simplified delivery of commercial shipments that does not involve full customs clearance of the goods. I.e. it is gray delivery, which has its advantages:

• Allows you to transport small and medium-sized batches of goods. The total weight of the party from 100 kg, and if you plan to carry from 300 kg - it makes sense to calculate white delivery, for such goods it is more profitable.
• It does not require renting a whole container. The total cargo is formed from several, sometimes dozens of shipments of goods from different clients, loaded and sent to Russia.
• Quick receipt of cargo. The average delivery time is 15-25 days.
• No additional costs. You pay only the cost of goods and delivery.

There are minuses too:

• No customs documents for the goods. If you pay to the settlement account, you can get closing documentation, but no more.
• The shipment cannot be tracked. The customer receives only information about the passage of key points, without accurate information.
• There is a risk of damage to the goods in transit. All boxes are reloaded several times, if the goods are fragile, additional packaging and crating is needed.

What is the difference between cargo and regular delivery

"Regular" is white delivery, which includes full customs clearance, obtaining certificates (if they are required for the selected category of goods) and other related documents.

The main differences:

• A full package of documents is provided. With it, the goods can be sold without restrictions on marketplaces, participate in tenders, public procurement, etc.
• The cost is often higher than cargo delivery. But it can be the other way around, for example, we calculated the cost of importing a batch of shampoos for a client, and together with all the duties, white delivery was almost 400 dollars cheaper.
• Delivery times are longer. The average is 45 days.
• Virtually zero risk of damage or loss of shipment.
